Perfect Facial Interface Foam

I own a few facial interfaces with a couple different types of material (silicone, PU leather), but I wanted to give this foam a try because it’s pretty much the same kind of foam that would be in my motorcycle helmet, which I knew was super comfortable. And sure enough, it’s very comfortable. The foam is a lot more dense than typical facial interface foam, but that’s not a bad thing. The pressure is very evenly dispersed across the face. I get no irritation at all, even after sweating. Highly recommended.

Excellent interface but not as sweat resistant as leather

I received this item as a free promotion however my review is my honest opinion.

Having used this for a few weeks now I can say this is my personal favorite interface for non sports activities. The cloth feel is very comfortable and much more pleasant than the stock foam or a leather pad.

The kit comes with two pads one thin and one thick. The thin one is a bit less comfortable and I didn't find much value in it over the thick one so it's just my backup now.

The thick one is not as plush as most leather ones you get but it's a little softer than the stock foam. It's quite comfortable and lets your skin breath which is really nice as the leather and silicone ones would cause my face to sweat even when not very active.

The downside to this is that it does soak up a bit of sweat when you get active.

I wouldn't want to share this with anyone because I don't like the idea of face oils being shared and it is harder to clean than a silicone or leather one. But just using it for myself I am not worried and I do still swap in a leather one or a silicone cover when I am going to work out.

The shape of the interface is a real strong point for me. I have an Asian face and high cheekbones so a lot of interfaces press on my temples in an uncomfortable way. This one fits pretty nicely and doesn't put too much pressure on the outsides of my eyes. Could be a bit wider but I have a pretty wide head so at that point it probably wouldn't be good for thin heads.

The included light blocker is well installed and I usually don't like them but this one doesn't bother me. It doesn't fully close off the nose hole (which may be why it's more comfy) but still reduces the amount of light bleed. I can still tilt my head back and look out the hole when necessary.

Overall I think this is a great product at a great sticker price assuming you don't need to use it for sweaty activities or are ok with putting a silicone cover on it when you do.

Shipping was very fast to California - I think just took 3 days or so.

Good idea but uncomfortable interface

I do like the idea behind it, and the nose piece is quite good at blocking light and preventing the lenses from touching my nose. However, the foam is simply too thin, both the thick and the thin foam pieces are extremely thin and compress easily, making it so there's hardly anything between the plastic and my face, which makes it very uncomfortable.

The best foams on the market

The foams are better than anything available right now. Super comfortable even after hours of use, no red marks on my face or irritation. The light/nose guard does more to support the weight of the HMD than block light, and leaves an indent/mark on the nose — especially with the thin foam.

A flexible kit to fit many faces

The kit I received included both foam thicknesses, two light blockers, and the plastic frame which snapped into my Quest 2 with ease.

The thinner foam allows for a closer fit, and therefore a wider view. This foam, however, brought my nose too close to my prescription lens mounting rings, resulting in some discomfort over a period of use. After removing the extra lenses, the interface, although thin, gave a comfortable fit against my face.

When I switched to the thicker foam, the kit provided a good fit with clearance for the prescription lenses. Switching between the two foam pads was easy, as the back of the pads is textured to mate with the plastic frame.

The frame also holds one of the included light blockers for the nose area. The two blockers in the kit were cut at different depths to suit various nose sizes. The larger cutout worked best for me.

The foam is comfortable, even when tightened to the face for longer periods, such as watching a full movie or working through an escape room game. I noticed that after these uses, the markings on my face were less pronounced than after the same activities using the standard interface.

Overall, this is a good upgrade from the stock foam/cover, and having a choice of thickness really made the difference in my case.

Great replacement face kit for Quest 2

I am 70 years old and retired which is relevant in as much as I can use my Quest for 5-6 hours straight.

Two years ago I opted for the silicon face kit which, as comfortable as it was, generated sweat after a while.

The Clutch VR kit was somewhat fiddly for an old fella but I got there. I tried the thin padding first but I found it uncomfortable after 30 mins or so. Switching to the thick padding was a game changer though, very comfortable even after five hours of Skyrim.

I would certainly recommend the Clutch VR kit, nice job!

Great for working out

Got the kit for active games, and for exercise. I have this paired with the Meta Elite Strap. Felt comfortable while moving, and never slipped. I use YouTube VR for 360 bicycle videos, and ride a stationary bike. Face stayed dry the whole time. Would recommend for anyone playing active games like Pistol Whip, or Gorilla Tag.

Fit and comfort is excellent

Installation was super easy. I popped off the original plastic from my quest, and popped the new one from the kit on. It also came with two foams, abd I went with he thicker one. The bottom has these little light blockers that are built in as well. It was an excellent upgrade from the original pad (and silicon cover). Heat seems good and the thicker pad is much more comfortable.

I highly recommend this kit.

I really wanted to like this, but I found both foam pads far too thin to be of any use. I constantly felt the plastic beneath pressing against my face, making the headset very uncomfortable.

I also found that the lenses would fog up almost immediately, which isn't an issue I had with either the foam or silicon cover that came with my headset.

However I did really like the nose piece, it worked well and was comfortable. I also liked how easy it is to detach and attach the foam, though the middle adhesive sticker peeled off slightly whenever I changed out the foam.

Great Alternative to Stock Interface

Integrates seamlessly with the Quest 2 and is very comfortable on the face. Wicks sweat away well and I did not have any issues with heat or fogging on the lenses.
